PHILANTHROPY
The Palos Verdes Junior Women’s Club supports charities which provide community enrichment, critical needs, crisis intervention and prevention, support, and public services. Charities are selected after a thorough investigation of their financial need and community impact. Focus is placed on groups that address the needs of Women and Children in Crisis. Our philanthropies are chosen each year by vote of the General Membership at the November General Meeting.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Serve women and children in need
- Serve the South Bay area, south of the 405 and east of the 110 freeways
- Be a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation
How to Apply
Any charity meeting the above eligibility requirements can apply for funding from the PV Juniors by submitting a Preliminary Philanthropy Application. The annual Preliminary Philanthropy Application period opens on March 1st and closes on May 1st at 11:59 p.m. PST. Preliminary Applications can be downloaded by clicking on the logo below. Preliminary Applications can also be e-mailed or mailed to you by contacting the Philanthropy Chair (contact information below).
In June, selected philanthropies will be notified that they are eligible to complete a Secondary Philanthropy Application. The Secondary Philanthropy Application is due by August 1st at 11:59 p.m. PST. If your philanthropy has been chosen for secondary review, you can download the Secondary Application (below) or have it sent to you electronically or by mail by contacting the philanthropy chair (contact information below). Please do not submit a secondary application until requested to do so by the PV Juniors Philanthropy Committee.
Philanthropy investigation begins in May and continues until funds are distributed at our annual Disbursement meeting the following May or June.
